1. Local identity and earlier preview accounts
The production app does not create an AQL account. Your saved first name and onboarding preferences remain on this device. Apple provides purchase entitlement information through StoreKit.
If you used an earlier email-account development preview, existing local files are preserved during the transition and the obsolete local sign-in credential is removed. An update does not silently delete server records. Contact Admin@hereaftercorp.com to request deletion of retained preview-account information; it is not required to use the production app.
2. Journal entries, drafts and photographs
Journal entries and private Member Reads drafts are saved in application storage on your device. There is no automatic AQL cloud copy. Restoring an Apple purchase or using another device does not transfer those files. Existing local profiles from earlier development builds are preserved when updating.
Delete individual entries or drafts in their editors. Your data → Delete personal data from this device removes local journals, private drafts, progress, bookmarks and personal preferences, including earlier local test profiles. This is permanent and cannot be undone through AQL. Export what you need first. Removing the app’s data also removes local files; offloading is not the same as deleting its data.
3. Practice records and preferences
Dhikr and dua counts, prayer completion, streaks, reading progress, bookmarks and personal preferences remain on the device until changed or cleared. The local deletion control clears these personal records. General application settings and non-personal downloaded content may remain until removed separately or the app’s data is deleted.
Ending membership is not a deletion instruction. The app does not automatically erase your journal because a subscription expires. Access to paid screens can nevertheless end, so make an export while you have access or contact support for help.
4. Widgets, Watch and notifications
Widgets read prayer and Quran information from a shared on-device container. Deleting personal data clears its companion snapshot. Displayed widgets may take time to refresh. A paired Watch holds its own prayer snapshot and dial preference and can retain them while disconnected. Remove AQL from the Watch if you need to erase that local copy immediately.
Notifications are held by the operating system. Clearing personal data resets the app’s reminder preferences and refreshes its scheduled requests. You can also turn off AQL notifications in iOS Settings. Local deletion does not remotely wipe another phone, a disconnected Watch, exported files or device backups.
5. Exports and Apple backups
Encrypted journal backup files include the journal information selected by the backup feature and can be saved to a location you choose. Keep the passphrase separately and securely. AQL cannot reset it. Restoring a backup can bring back records that you previously deleted; review its contents before restoration.
Plain-text exports, shared images, Files copies, email attachments and backups you keep in iCloud Drive or another service remain there until you delete them. Apple device backups may also contain app data depending on your settings. Hereaftercorp cannot remotely erase those copies. Delete them separately if you want complete removal from your own storage.
6. Audio caches and independent providers
Offline audio and timetable caches support playback and prayer information without repeated downloads. They do not require an AQL account. Use the app’s download controls or remove app data to clear local copies. Audio hosts, calendar providers, Apple and websites you open keep their own operational or transaction records under their applicable policies and obligations.
7. Support and legally required records
Support emails and attachments are used to investigate and resolve your request. Retention depends on unresolved follow-up, complaints, legal duties and the need to establish or defend legal rights. We limit access and retention to those purposes and do not retain correspondence indefinitely for unrelated future uses. Request deletion of unnecessary attachments or correspondence through Admin@hereaftercorp.com.
A deletion request does not erase a record we must lawfully retain or data controlled independently by Apple. Where we retain information after a deletion request, we will explain the category, reason and applicable retention criteria unless the law prevents disclosure. Retained material must not be used to recreate an account for marketing.
8. Access and correction
You can edit local information in the app and use its export functions. For information held by Hereaftercorp or processed on our behalf, email Admin@hereaftercorp.com. We verify identity proportionately and respond within applicable legal time limits. No password, sign-in code, full payment details or whole journal is needed merely to begin a request.
