1. These terms and the service

These terms govern the AQL app, companion features and AQL website operated under the trading name Hereaftercorp (we, us or our). You can contact us at Admin@hereaftercorp.com. Read them with the Privacy policy, Data & retention policy and Membership, cancellation & refunds policy. Last updated: 12 October 2026.

Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) governs the App Store software licence. These terms describe AQL’s service and supplement that licence; they do not replace your separate agreement with Apple. Mandatory consumer law prevails over an inconsistent provision. If you do not agree, do not purchase access or use the paid service; you can still read our policies and contact support.

2. What AQL provides

AQL brings together Quran reading and recitation, dua and adhkar, dhikr counters, prayer calendars and reminders, Qiblah, Islamic reading and a private journal. Available functions depend on the release, supported device, connection, permissions and membership. The current Member Reads feature stores private drafts; it is not a public publishing platform.

Descriptions of planned features do not make them part of a purchase unless expressly included in the offer you accept. AQL does not currently provide cloud journal synchronisation, social collection account integration or a personalised AI religious adviser. Apple Watch functions are an app and complications, not a replacement for Apple’s system watch faces.

3. Access and eligibility

AQL does not require a separate email account. An eligible Apple purchase is required for paid features. Use Apple’s purchase and restore controls with the Apple Account entitled to the purchase. Keep your device and Apple credentials secure; never send those credentials to AQL support. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but these terms do not make you automatically liable for unauthorised activity or failures for which we are legally responsible.

You must be able to enter a valid agreement under the law that applies to you. If you cannot, a parent or guardian must provide the necessary supervision and authorisation, including for purchases. Do not misrepresent another person’s identity or fraudulently obtain paid access.

4. Membership and payment

Membership is purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. The price, currency, billing period, taxes and any offer conditions shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation apply. A monthly subscription renews unless cancelled in time through Apple. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase and is not a recurring subscription.

Lifetime access means ongoing access to the AQL features included in that purchase for the operating life of that AQL service, subject to these terms and applicable consumer rights. It is not a promise that third-party services, every device or every future separate product will be supported forever. We will not arbitrarily revoke a valid lifetime entitlement or use this definition to avoid obligations arising from representations made at purchase or consumer law.

Membership, cancellation & refunds explains restoration, renewal, ending a subscription and refund requests. Deleting the app or its local data does not cancel Apple billing. A price change does not retrospectively alter a completed lifetime purchase. Subscription price changes are subject to Apple’s notices and any consent required by law.

5. Your material stays yours

You retain the rights you hold in your journal, private drafts, photographs and other original material you add. You permit the software to store, format, display and export that material as needed to carry out the actions you choose. This is not a licence for us to publish your journal, advertise with it or train an AI model on it.

Only add or share material you are entitled to use. An image, article or collection being accessible online does not by itself give permission to republish it. If you export to another app or open a saved link, that service’s terms govern what happens there. AQL does not claim ownership of that service or of your independent accounts.

6. Backups and local storage

Journal entries and private drafts are stored locally. Purchasing access or restoring an Apple purchase does not create a cloud backup. Make an encrypted export before replacing a device, deleting the app or erasing personal data, and keep its passphrase safely. We cannot recover a forgotten backup passphrase or retrieve a journal that was never provided to us.

If membership ends, that event does not itself erase local journal files. The current membership gate may restrict access to paid features, so export important material before access ends and contact support if you need help. This practical limitation does not reduce any right you have to access personal information we actually hold.

7. Religious content and accuracy

AQL supports learning and personal practice. It does not issue personalised fatwas or replace a qualified scholar or teacher. Quran translations convey an interpretation of meaning and are distinct from the Arabic Quran. Transliterations approximate pronunciation. Hadith grading, interpretation and historical accounts can differ among reliable sources.

We aim to represent content accurately and correct reported errors. We do not warrant that every article, interface translation, transliteration or recording is free from error. Published Quran translations are identified separately from interface and editorial translations. A correction can change or remove material without changing the Arabic source text to fit an editorial interpretation.

Counters, streaks and reward references record practice or explain cited teachings. They do not measure reward accepted by Allah, establish forgiveness or offset sins. The journal and religious material are not medical or mental-health treatment, legal advice or a guarantee of a particular outcome.

8. Prayer, notifications and device limitations

Prayer times depend on your city, calculation method, Asr setting, date, time zone and timetable provider. Qiblah depends on location and sensor accuracy. Review your settings and check a trusted local timetable if a result appears wrong. AQL cannot determine every local religious convention for you.

Reminder and adhan delivery depends on notification permission, sound settings, Focus, battery state and iOS scheduling restrictions. Background notifications may use shorter audio than foreground playback. Do not treat a notification as a guaranteed alarm. Apple Watch synchronisation requires compatible paired devices and may not be immediate when they are disconnected.

9. Permitted use and intellectual property

Subject to your licence and membership, you may use AQL for your personal purposes on supported devices. AQL’s software, branding and original design, and third-party translations, recordings, writing and artwork, remain subject to their respective rights. Purchasing access does not grant a general right to reproduce or commercially distribute the library.

Do not interfere with service security, introduce malicious code, fraudulently obtain access, impersonate others, infringe rights or unlawfully extract and redistribute protected content. These restrictions do not override rights granted by applicable law, an open-source licence or another applicable permission. Security concerns can be reported privately to support without including live credentials or other users’ data.

10. External services

Some functions rely on Apple, prayer-calendar providers or audio hosts. External links are provided for their stated purpose and do not amount to endorsement of everything on a destination site. We remain responsible for our own obligations; describing a provider as independent is not a blanket exclusion of consumer rights.

We may need to replace an unavailable provider, change a recording source or issue a compatibility update. If a change materially affects paid functionality, we will provide appropriate information and any remedy required by law.

11. Suspension, deletion and service changes

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach, fraud, a security threat or a legal requirement. The action must be proportionate. Where lawful and practical, we will explain it and provide an opportunity to resolve an error or remediable breach. Contact support to dispute a restriction.

You may permanently remove personal data from this device in Your data without first purchasing or renewing membership. You can also contact support about information held by us. Deletion is distinct from cancellation of an Apple subscription and from deletion of backups or data on other devices. Read the Data deletion guide before proceeding.

We may update the app, these terms or supported features for legitimate operational, legal or security reasons. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. We will not impose changes retrospectively to remove accrued rights or paid entitlements contrary to law. If the service is discontinued, we will give reasonable notice where practical, explain available export options and honour any remedies required by law.

12. Consumer guarantees and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. A consumer may be entitled to a remedy for a service that does not meet applicable guarantees; the remedy depends on the circumstances and the law.

We do not promise uninterrupted availability or flawless performance on every device. Those practical limits are not a waiver of our responsibility for breaches of mandatory law, misleading statements or other liability that cannot be excluded. These terms impose no blanket “no refunds” rule, compulsory arbitration, class-action waiver or automatic indemnity for every claim connected with your use.

13. Complaints, interpretation and contact

Send a service, billing, privacy or content complaint to Admin@hereaftercorp.com with the issue, relevant dates and the outcome you seek. We will consider the information, request anything reasonably needed and explain our response. You remain free to seek help from Apple, a consumer or privacy regulator, or a court or tribunal with jurisdiction.

These terms are subject to the mandatory laws applicable to the transaction and your circumstances. They do not require you to give up protections or accessible remedies in your home jurisdiction. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.

The English text is the original version. Any translation is intended to help understanding, not to remove rights arising under local law or a representation made to you. Please report an inconsistency so we can address it. You can request a copy of the version applicable to your purchase from support.
